Being in the company of compassionate individuals aids in regulating our nervous system and optimizing the functioning of organ systems. Numerous studies attest to the effectiveness of such nature experiences for self-soothing, resulting in increased empathy and overall enhanced functioning.
While navigating the trail, we'll engage in Noble Speech, a practice that quiets the mind and conditions the body in the art of right speech. Learning to refrain from uttering every passing thought allows us to censor or omit harmful words, preventing harm and suffering to both ourselves and others. Throughout our journey, I may guide us through walking meditation, and there will be moments of shared silence.
