Join Alisha Nissenfeld for an exploration of yoga through the lens of the Eastern Element Systems: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal. In this workshop, immerse yourself in centuries old techniques and philosophies designed to optimize physical, emotional and spiritual health.

The journey begins with a powerful Hatha Yoga sequence that embodies the qualities of each element. Through pranayama, asana and meditation, you’ll learn how to use element practice to cultivate balance.

In this practice we will:

  • Become conscious of our innate capacity to calm, stimulate, and stabelize the nervous system.

  • Learn to use the body as an instrument to support health and wellness goals

  • Practice techniques to focus on the present moment

  • Provide time and space to experience your body in both passive and active states to gain awareness and regulate internal systems

  • Inspire creativity and empowerment

  • Clarify goals and develop a sense of dedication and discipline to manifest them

Each element has an associated wisdom that can serve as “preventive medicine” by reducing stress and anxiety through the release of endorphins and oxytocin, while strengthening and supporting all systems of the physical body. This class culminates in a deep restorative savasana to reap the benefits of the practice.
