“Be gentle in all things” is an old proverb attributed to grandmothers of a time past. This idea rings true in Ahimsa, the building block of yogic philosophy, which translates as non-harming. Let go of all the striving and doing, and allow yourself to simply and gently be, just as you are. This is a special class featuring chanting, pranayama, meditation, and a gentle yoga practice co-taught by Prarna Desai and Alisha Nissenfeld. We culminate in a 15-minute extended savasana with a gong bath played live by Alisha. Gong baths offer a deeply nourishing and restorative experience healing on all levels of being. During this relaxing and rejuvenating experience, students are supported comfortably with bolsters and blankets while vibrations pass over and through --leaving them feeling balanced, peaceful, and light.
